Abstract

This study examines the extraction and application of Syzygium cumini bark dye on textile fibers using different mordant combinations. Mordants such as FeSO4, oxalic acid, SnCl2, and alum were applied in 1:1 and 2:1 ratios to develop various shades. The dye showed good performance on jute fibers, with dyed samples exhibiting good to excellent color fastness properties.
