About the Journal
Aims & Scope
The Critical Review of Social Sciences and Humanities (CRSSH) is an online open access journal in English Language that strictly follows the double-blind peer review process. This multidisciplinary international journal is published biannually in the month of June and December by the Department of English, Government Graduate College Township, Lahore, Pakistan. The journal provides a forum to national and international researchers and scholars to publish their original research papers in the field of social sciences and humanities (in English Language). It aims to promote investigatory inquiry and creative innovation in the contemporary linguistics, literature, arts and social sciences. It would provide the reader with dynamic insights, reflective debate, diagnostic critique and rewarding directionalities through the futuristic conceptual frameworks in the contemporary academic disciplines of social sciences and humanities. The areas of interest as per the scope of the journal includes:
Author Guidelines
- Authors are required to get registered via Open Journal System prior to submission of manuscript.
- Critical Review of Social Sciences and Humanities (CRSSH) considers only those research manuscripts which are submitted via Open Journal System (OJS) to www.crssh.com
- It is author(s)’ responsibility to ensure that the manuscript has neither been published nor submitted somewhere else for publication either in parts or as a whole.
- Once the manuscript is received online (OJS), the desk editors will filter the manuscript in the light of Author-Guidelines. Based on the desk review, the manuscript is either sent back to the author(s) for further modifications or sent for the blind peer review.
- Manuscripts must be formatted according to the latest edition of APA (American Psychological Association). While writing a research paper for CRSSH, the observance of the following is a must:
- APA suggests font = Times New Roman; Font-Size =12; Line-Spacing =1.15; Margins=1 Inch – All Sides
- The word count of the research article would range between 4000 to 6000.
- The title page should include an informative title, author's name, and complete mailing address including Postal & Online - email, Telephone & Fax No.
- Abstract: The abstract consists of the statement of the problem, research design, major findings and conclusions (Maximum words: 150). Maximum key words are five.
- Main-Body: The text should be divided into sections with the following headings:
- Introduction: In this section, the rationale of the present research along with its background and the clear mention of the objectives is discussed.
- Literature Review: To explore the untapped research gap in the area for the present researcher, previous relevant research projects are reviewed here.
- Research Questions: Research statement along with research questions are discussed in this section of the research paper.
- Research Design: Theoretical/conceptual framework plus the type/nature of research are satisfactorily elaborated here.
- Data Analysis: The selected narrative will be analyzed in the light of the well framed research questions.
- Findings and Recommendations: Present the results of the research in a systematic and logical way. For this purpose, help can be sought from tables, figures and diagrams.
- Conclusion: Interpret results and relate them with existing knowledge relating to the methods and results of the respective area of research.
